Shaka Social and Skyscanner Shortlisted for Best Use of TikTok at the 2026 UK Social Media Awards

We're very happy to share that Shaka Social has been named a finalist at the 2026 UK Social Media Awards, alongside our brilliant client Skyscanner, in the Best Use of TikTok category.

It's a great bit of recognition for a project we've loved working on – and even better to see the work sitting alongside some seriously impressive brands and agencies from across the UK.

Our work with Skyscanner

Our work with Skyscanner has focused on creating social-first content built for the way people actually use TikTok.

That means thinking beyond simply adapting existing brand content for another platform. Instead, we've focused on understanding the formats, behaviours and conversations that feel native to TikTok, while still making sure everything feels unmistakably Skyscanner.

The aim has been to create useful, entertaining travel content that earns attention rather than interrupts it.

Recognised for Best Use of TikTok

The UK Social Media Awards recognise organisations, agencies and individuals producing standout work across social media in the UK.

Being shortlisted in the Best Use of TikTok category is something we're particularly proud of.

TikTok can be an incredibly powerful platform for brands, but getting it right requires more than following trends. The best brand content understands why people are on the platform in the first place and finds a natural way for the brand to become part of that experience.

That's been central to our approach with Skyscanner.

A proud moment for Shaka

It's always nice when work you're proud of gets recognised externally.

But the biggest credit goes to the teams behind it. Great social work comes from a genuinely collaborative relationship between agency and client, and we've been lucky to have exactly that with the team at Skyscanner.

For Shaka, the nomination is also another bit of recognition for what we're trying to build: a social media agency that combines strategy, creativity and an understanding of how people actually behave on social.
